This module provides a set of pedagogical tools and exercises intended to develop critical thinking and dialogue skills among children and youth. It will help participants develop the following skills and competences:
To engage in self-reflection and critical self-reflection processes
To identify the need for and develop questioning skills
To recognise establish beliefs and assumptions
To challenge received knowledge and open it up to further questioning and analysis
To organize a discussion on difficult issues
To craft logical and persuasive arguments
To identify the value of counter-narratives in discussions
To evaluate sources of knowledge
To conceptualise educational processes as democratic processes.
